New Stone Boat

Stone boat is a funny name for a sled but Wagner Farm has a new one. Built by Andy Betts from old time plans, the sled is used to exercise the team and to pull equipment like harrows. On the maiden voyage she got a little muddy but it still is a beautiful addition to the farm. The paint job was done by Carlin Horbal with help from Robin Forde. So thanks for all the hard work and a special thanks goes to the teamsters who helped finance this project.

The Glenview Park District's 18.6 acre Wagner Farm is one of the last working dairy farms in Cook County and is open to the public for learning and recreation. The farm provides an unique opportunity for families to learn about our farming heritage and experience first-hand "the way things used to be."
